Swansea To Bid For Leeds Player

According to the South Wales Evening Post, Premier League outfit Swansea City will bid for Leeds United midfielder Sam Byram.
With just under a year left of his contract at Elland Road, Swansea are confident of securing Byram's signature once the January transfer window opens. There is no indication the 21 year old will sign a new contract after Cellino offered him a lower wage in January for a new deal. Since, there has been no new deal made and it looks as though Byram's 10 years at the club are about to end.

Sunderland, Newcastle and Liverpool were linked with Sam Byram throughout the summer but Leeds reiterated to the interested clubs, he isn't for sale. However, the local newspaper in Swansea claimed in the summer that The Swans had seen an £8 million bid rejected and that Massimo Cellino wanted £10 million for the player.

It remains to be seen how much Swansea will bid for Byram but one thing is for certain; if he isn't offered a better deal in the coming months, Leeds will have to sell him in January if they want to get any sort of money out of the deal.

  2. I believe Leeds will be offered around £5 million on a take it or leave it bases in January. The player will have just five months left on his contract and if a club talks to the player a deal could be done with him and Leeds could be left without a penny!
