National Tabloid's Thrive From Leeds' Faults

National tabloids such as The Sun, Daily Mail, Daily Mirror, Daily Express, Daily Star etc. all apart from being pathetically inept tabloid newspapers also, hate Leeds United.
These tabloids are more than happy to concentrate on the negatives at Leeds. It’s very rare you see anything positive surrounding Leeds in the newspapers. They’re quite possibly the influence on why some of the Leeds fans are so negative, and some people are gullible enough to believe their petty stories. Like the Daily Star’s so-called exclusive, “Leeds owner Cellino sacks 440 staff.” Not the worst headline in the world but it’s enough to create a negative impact on your perspective. The story was deemed rubbish by many with the Daily Star failing to back up their exclusive.
Leeds recently signed Brazilian wonderkid Adryan from Flamengo on loan. That’s a major positive the tabloids have failed to comment on because they’re under the impression there is a crisis at Leeds. The Sun are forgetting Leeds spent over £5 million on 15 new players this summer. This summer was arguably one of the best in 10 seasons for Leeds but the press still concentrate on the canteen closing. These players come with a mixture of different nationalities and are all worth the positivity. But no, the Daily Express will concentrate on quizzing former Leeds striker Ross McCormack on the crisis at Leeds.
Now, don’t counter me in saying everyone is entitled to an opinion. I believe they are but the constant drivel coming out from these tabloids drives me crazy because they don’t understand the actual facts and figures. Obviously I don’t either but I concentrate on what’s going on at Leeds countless times so surely that’s enough to tell you I can call bull**** when I see it.
In this day and age, it’s difficult to remain positive about Leeds. If Leeds won the Champions League, The Daily Mail would still likely concentrate on how Massimo Cellino celebrated smoking a cigarette on the Elland Road pitch. It’s not like all the players smoke and drank endless amounts in the Revie years.
Rather than constantly spouting the negatives, compromise and write something positive about Leeds United for once. I don’t know why I bother but it’s my love, my main interest and to see Leeds being damned by pathetic one liners makes it difficult for me to remain silent.
